February Update

New York Toy Fair is a go... Mother nature sent freak winter storms and even sploded a volcano but after multiple flight cancellations I'm glad to report that the whole team finally made it to New York in good time. Once again, any photos I get will be posted right here.

And in 7174 news, ThreeA did a show where the crew got to choose which "ThreeA" Tee they would get to wear on the floor but when Ash got there he was surprised to find that the staff had chosen to wear the limited 7174 Tees that we released last year. Ash and I built 7174 from up from well.. just us and it's our personal studio so it's very cool that people like to represent us by wearing the Tees. In May I'm going to see about getting another Tee released but this time for a very special occassion.... 

7174 is turning 10!

In other news, The Beautiful War is coming along and I'm so excitied for the first book of the new series to come out. Not since Lore have we delved into a tome this big, technical and expansive. When it comes to other worlds we don't do small and this book series is no exception. I've loved every minute of writing this book, emotions ranging from bang my head off of a table through to warm and fuzzy nostalgia. IDW are also pulling out all the stops on this one, Chris Ryall is not only riding us on deadlines via email and phone... he's actually climbing on a plane and coming to dinner soon... What can I say? He's dedicated.

No movie news this month other than to say that I have finally answered a question that has been bugging me since the late 1990's... Can I actually smell what the Rock is cooking? and the answer is... Yup.

January Update

Happy New Year and Chinese New Year to everyone who tunes into this blog. January went by in a blur already and if the last month is any indication of how 2014 is going to be, hang on it's going to be one heck of a wild ride.

Coming up this year on this blog. Previews of new 7174/IDW books. Movie schedule updates and gallery showing updates/previews. Also I hope to cover public events as usual and the IDW downunder tour taking place towards the middle of the year.

Just a Quick Pic

Thought I'd post this because it's cool. Ash and Eddy constructed a robot today. I believe it's a TK hunter, (much larger than an actual TK). I think sometimes people get the impression that there's just a machine that pumps out completed prototypes, (individual parts maybe), but the rest is handcrafted and nutted out with a lot of love and attention.

December Update - New Series Announced

Ash and I are proud to announce the upcoming release of our new series The Beautiful War. The ongoing series will officially start in May 2014, published by IDW. Look out for teasers in the weeks leading up and speaking of teasers... here's one now!
